Nigerian female singing sensation, Seyi Shay who just signed a bumper deal with a UK based label, recently opens up on her relationship with music star, Sound Sultan.

The fast rising songstress, Seyi explained how Sound Sultan and wife have been there for her ever since she got back to Nigeria in 2012.
In a recent interview, she revealed how she never lived with her father because she was a product of a polygamous home but lived with her mother, who is late now. Adding that, she sees Sultan as the father she never had because he has been a father figure to her.
Seyi revealed that, “Sound Sultan is like my dad really, the dad I never had. He is my mentor, he’s also my song writer; he and his wife are like my mum and dad. It’s a relationship that’s indescribable; God just used him as a vessel to really expose me. I used to go round with Naija Ninjas and Radio tours and he kept introducing me as his protégé”.

However, she also praised Flytime boss, Ceil Hammonds for giving her a ladder to climb saying, he used to tell people to put her on their shows.
The music star was recently nominated alongside Yemi Alade, at the MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA), 2015 in Los Angeles.
