PHOTOS: See Boy Born From His Grandmother’s Womb In His Mother’s Body

You have a chance to take a glance at probably the most unusual baby in the world! The boy below has made history by being born from the very womb that carried his own mother when she was a baby. Just wow.

The baby, who is now nine months old, was born after his grandmother donated her womb to her daughter, who lost her reproductive organ to cancer. The child’s mother had IVF and gave birth by cesarean section last autumn. The boy is now one of just four children – all boys – in the world to be born after a womb transplantation.

One womb, three generations!

The new mother, 34, who was never expected to have her own children but for her own mother, said: “To us, he’s our son, he’s an amazing little boy and the thing that brought him here is very unique and special. But we try to look at him as an ordinary boy like everyone else.”

Recalling the moment her grandchild was born, the boy’s grandmother said: “It was very emotional. I cried tears of joy because it was such a big thing, and I still get emotional when I think about it. This is so big that I think I have difficulties understanding how big it actually is. At the same time, I sometimes think that I am part of history.”
