After his reported reconciliation with former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, the governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson has submitted his nomination form ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial election primary in the state.
Governor Dickson submits nomination form
Dickson, who is seeking re-election, submitted his form today, September 4, at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat.
A former governor of the state, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was also present while Dickson submitted his form.
Alamieyesigha has been campaigning strongly for the emergence of Dickson for second term saying the governor is a marketable product that will secure a second term bid from the Bayelsa people. He said the people of Bayelsa cannot afford to be changing governors at will.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the governorship election for December 5.
Dickson submitted his nomination form at the PDP secretariat today
Politicians loyal to Governor Dickson recently formed a political group known as the PDP Integrity Group. The group was set up by PDP to unite its leaders and put an end to cases of defection recently noticed within the party in the state.
