BREAKING: Multiple Explosions In Abuja, Scores Feared Killed (UPDATE)

A twin blast has reportedly occurred in Kuje area on Friday, October 2. Another one recorded in Nyanya.


Although the details are sketchy so far, it is believed the blasts could have been masterminded by Boko Haram insurgents, Daily Post reports.


The twin blast incident took place at Kuje market area, near the police station. The attacked site is the one close to market, it is the place where okada men usually eat and relax, Naij.com sources say.


The first explosion occured in front of the police station, at the second one – at the market, 15 minutes apart from other, Vanguard reports.


One more blast was recorded Nyanya, the site of the last year’s bombing that claimed dozens of lives.


Scores people are feared killed.


Many ambulance vehicles are seen in the area. Those injured are being rushed to the national hospital, according to the fresh update by the National Emergency Management Association.

UPDATE:


Premium Times got confirmation from the commissioner of police for the Federal Capital Territory, Wilson Inalegu:


“I am already at the scene of the bomb blast but cannot tell you anything now.”


Inalegu,  however, could not provide the exact death toll so far.
